When my children were in 4-H the organization would have a food booth at the fair each summer. Elephant ears were one of our specialties.

Defrost a loaf of frozen bread dough. Break off pieces about the size of a golf ball. Roll out on a flowered surface about the size of a saucer. Fry in hot oil until lightly brown. Drain on paper towels and cover with a mixture of granulated sugar, cinnamon and a touch of nutmeg.
