but i can't believe you don't like to taste test! It's the best part and an invaluable guide to the end result. Here's an example - i recently made a beef and guiness stew - i thought it needed a something extra and added a little too much beef stock cube - it smelled great but when i tasted it it was not so good - if i hadn't tasted it it would have been a disaster! Fortunately i was able to correct the mistake. Go on, be brave! :)
