Jim, I'm LOL at reading about the rutabaga. Believe it or not,we ate them often growing up. To me they are not much different than a turnip,other than taking longer to cook. This may not sound good to you but at least try it once. Peel and cube the rutagaga. Boil till fork soft (not mushy) Drain and add a bag of your favorite cheese. (I use cheddar) Cover and let stand till cheese is melted. I have also after doing this added a little milk and baked in oven till cheese is lt. brown. I LOVE THIS !! So, come on Jim, try it. Who knows, you may turn into a rutabaga lover. Ha! Bonnie, Ohio
