Several years ago when we were sending volumes of cookies to soldiers in Desert Shield/Storm, we used a vacuum sealer (available everywhere) to package the cookies. We packed 12 to a bag and packed into boxes with other personal items. Talking to some of the soldiers when they got home, the cookies stayed fresh and edible. We made choc chip, peanut butter, sugar, etc. Basic cookies. Hope this helps!
