I think that it was JimC who said that their loved one would wrap each individual cookie. Maybe you could try that and then place all of the cookies (pack them kinda tight, but as not to break them up) into a metal cookie tin. These seem to hold the air out. Another idea is to buy those spaghetti containers (you can sometimes find these in metal with the same thing) with the latch that has the rubber ring inside (to lock out air and such). As far as cookie recipes, I think that the ones that would last the longest would be chocolate chip, peanut butter and sugar cookies. I wouldn't attempt a moist cookie of any kind. If you need recipes for these, I can see what I have. I do hope that all goes well. Let us know how things turn out.
