This morning we had Sourdough Hot Cakes and blueberry syrup, they were delicious. thought you might like the recipe.

Sourdough Hot Cakes
Set the sponge for sourdough hot cakes the night before, Place the starter in a medium size bowl Add 2 cups of warm water and 2 cups flour and a pk. of yeast, beat well, cover and let set in warm place away from drafts. Next morning remove a 1/2 cup starter for next use, to the remainer add 2 eggs, 1 t.salt, 1 T sugar and 1 t.soda Beat with a fork and blend in ingredients add 2 .T melted fat and bake on hot griddle, turn once serve with your favorite syrup.
I put about 3 cups of blueberries in a sauce pan with a cup of sugar and cooked until the berries were broken and like syrup. I also use regular syrup and put blue berries in, and microwave.
