Bertie's Coconut Cream Cake
This is a family favorite and hope you enjoy..
Bake 1 yellow cake mix in a 13x9-inch pan according to package directions.
Remove from oven and poke full of holes with toothpick.
In a saucepan combine and boil together: 1 1/2 half cups sugar 1 cup milk
Bring to a boil and pour over the hot cake. Sprinkle flaked coconut over top of cake. Cover the pan and put in icebox for two hours.
Spread cake with 1 carton of whipped topping and then cover with coconut. Cover the pan and store in icebox for three days.
It's a really moist cake and you can make it ahead of time and don't have to worry about dessert.. enjoy....joy mo.
