Johhnie, this is a recipe I use to make chocolate icing.
Rich Chocolate icing.
melt 2 ounces butter, 1/2 cup brown sugar. Stir over medium heat for 2 minutes but do not boil. Add 2 tablespoons milk, stir to boil, remove from heat. Blend in 1 1/2 cups icing sugar and 1 tablespoon cocoa sifted, vanilla. Add a little extra milk is stiff. Quickly spread over cold cake. (sets very fast)
(Omit cocoa, makes nice caramel icing for a plain cake.)
