Chopins

1 c. soft butter
1/2 c. sugar
2 c. flour
1 c. finely chopped walnuts
jam

Blend all ingredients together except jam. Roll on
lightly floured cloth-covered board to about 1/4-inch thickness. Have rolling pin covered with a baby stocking. Cut circles using the doughnut hole cutter. Bake on ungreased cookie sheets for about 10 minutes in a 350 degrees oven. Remove from cookie sheets. Cool. Frost tops with jam, or make sandwiches from two cookies and jam in between.
