A few years ago I found a recipe for baked custard made with egg nog in a magazine. It had a carmelized sugar topping that you coated the custard dishes with prior to filling them with the egg nog custard mixture. Then you put the dishes in a water bath and baked them. The whole process took quite a while with the carmelizing and all. The family loved it and it was an instant tradition for several years. Then last year I lost the recipe. Yikes! I've been to the magazine sites that I can think of and looked through their archives to no avail. All I can come up with is a basic baked custard recipe.
