Hi Toni, I don't know if this if originally from McCalls but it's close to what you described. Honey Rolls Source: Cookbook USA Yields: 18- 20 2 cakes yeast 1/4 cups warm water 1/4 cup melted butter 1/2 cup sugar 2 eggs, well beaten 1 cup milk, very warm 4 cups flour 1 1/4 tsp. salt TOPPING: 2 cups powdered sugar 1/2 cup butter, melted 2 egg whites 6 tbsp. honey Dissolve yeast in the warm water and set aside. Mix the butter, sugar, eggs and milk. Add the yeast mixture. Add all to the flour and salt which have been sifted together. Roll out dough 6 inches long and about 1/4 inch in thickness. Spread with butter. Cut into 1 inch strips. Roll each strip around finger and slide off into greased muffin tin. Beat topping ingredients until like syrup. Put 2 or 3 teaspoons over each roll.
