Hi Kathy,
Here are two more recipes for you that caught my eye because they call for swirling the pie filling and cream cheese mixture as you described. I don't know if what you're looking for had a crust but, of course, you can omit it.
Cherry Swirl
CRUST:
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 stick (1/2 cup) margarine, softened
1/2 cup pecans, chopped
FILLING:
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
2 cups confectioner's sugar
1 box Dream Whip (2 envelopes)
1 can cherry pie filling
CRUST:
Mix all ingredients and press into 9x13-inch pan. Bake for 25 minutes at 350 degrees. Cool.
FILLING:
Mix Dream Whip as directed on package. Combine cream cheese and sugar. Mix until creamy. Fold cream cheese mixture with Dream Whip and spread over the crust. Top with pie filling and swirl throughout.
Cherry Refrigerator Dessert
2 cups graham cracker crumbs
1/2 cup margarine, melted
1 (8 oz) pkg. cream cheese, softened
1 cup confectioner's sugar
1/4 cup milk
1 medium container Cool Whip
1 can cherry pie filling (or blueberry)
Mix together graham crackers and margarine. Spread in 9x14 inch pan and bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes. Let cool.
Mix together the cream cheese, powdered sugar and milk. Spread over graham crackers. Spread Cool Whip over the top of cream cheese mixture. Spread the pie filling over the Cool Whip, swirl. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
Happy Cooking!
Betsy
