CREAM CHEESE FRUITCAKE

1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1/2 lb. margarine
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla or rum
4 eggs
2 1/4 cups flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 cup candied fruit
1/2 cup chopped nuts

Blend cheese, margarine, sugar, vanilla and eggs. Fold in flour, baking powder and then fruit and nuts. Bake in greased tube pan at 325° for 1 hour and 20 minutes. Cool in pan a few minutes before removing.
