I grew up On Cucumber Teas. I don't have Martha's recipe but promise you this is a good recipe.
Purchase from a backery white bread sliced a bit thicker and have crust removed.
Stir softened cream cheese until very soft and creamy. You may thin with a dab of milk. You can also blend in a hint of any herb at this point (even ranch dressing powder)though we prefer it plain. Spread generously on all bread slices so that both sides of sandwich has cream cheese.
With a food processor or by hand thinly slice a medium cucumber. Stack cucumbers on bread but not so high that sandwiches don't stay together. before topping with other bread slice sprinkle with coarse sea salt and a light amount of white pepper. Cut into triangles or use a sturdy biscuit cutter
