Hi Cynthia....this is not what you are looking for, but I hope you will give this reacipe a try!!! It sure is a yummy one.

Fried Custard Squares

4 egg yolks
1/3 c granulated sugar
1/4 c flour
2 c milk
cinnamon
1 T butter~softened
Flour
1 egg~beaten
oil and butter~for frying
confectioners sugar

Beat egg yolks and add sugar and flour a little at a time, beating with a wood spoon until smooth. Add cinnamon to the milk and bring to a boil. Add the milk to the egg mixture while beating. Place the mixture in a saucepan with the T of butter. Cook over medium heat strring constantly until it thickens~ approx. 10 minutes. Cool slightly then pout into a buttered 8~9 inch pan. Spread evenley and chill for 1 hour.

Remove from refrigerator and cut into small squares. Dip lightly into beaten egg and flour, and then fry quickly in hot vegetable oil and butter...about 40 seconds on each side. Drain..and sprinkle with confectioners sugar.
