April, I did find this recipe but it isn't from McCall's. I don't know if this sounds anything like it but I thought I'd post it anyway since it does not have to be baked. This is from Thru the Grapevine, Finger Lakes Region Cookbook, The Junior League of Elmira (New York), Inc.

Mock Cheesecake - Top with fresh berries for summer parties! 10 servings Make Ahead

1 1/2 c graham cracker crumbs
1/4 c. sugar
4 Tb;. butter, melted
1, 3oz. package lemon gelatin
1 c. hot water
1 c. evaporated milk
8 ox. cream cheese, softened
1/2 c. sugar
2 Tbl. vanilla

Mix crumbs, sugar and butter. Put crumbs in pie plate or 9 inch square pan, reserving small amount tosprinklet on top. Refrigerate. Mix gelatin and water, and cool. Whip evaporated milk until foamy; add cream cheese, sugar and vanilla. Mix well. Add gelatin mixture and miz until well blended. Pour on top of crust and sprinkle with remaining crumbs. Refrigerate until firm.
