Red Barn Special CrockPot BBQ serves 8
1 lb. beef stew 1 lb. country style pork ribs 1/4 cup chili powder (or to taste) - see note 4 garlic cloves, minced 1 green pepper, chopped 1 large onion, chopped 1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste 1/4 cup brown sugar 1/4 cup cider vinegar 1 tsp. yellow prepared mustard 1 tsp. liquid smoke 1 tsp. worcestershire sauce salt and pepper to taste
Mix all the sauce ingredients well and cover the meats in the crockpot. Cook 10 hours on low in the crockpot.
Note: I also added 1/2 cup dark brown sugar to counter-balance some of the chili powder. It wasn't that hot. Next though, I will only put a tablespoon of chili powder which I believe is quite enough.
