Good Afternoon. Here is the actual recipe from the OHIO ST. Athetic Dep't.

COMES NOW:

Buckeyes

3 cups creamy peanut butter
1 cup softened butter or margarine.
2 pounds powered sugar
2 tsp vanilla extract
16 oz. milk chocolate for dipping purposes
3 tsp shortening.

Mix first 4 ingredients until well blended and form into small balls. Place them into the refrigerator to firm them, approximately 20-30 minutes.

Melt chocolate and shortening in a small bowl in the microwave oven or in a double boiler.

Using a toothpick or thin skewer, dip the balls in the chocolate, leaving part of the balls exposed on top- hey, look, a "BUCKEYE!!!!. Refrigerate or store in a cool dry area.

"GO BUCKS" I hope this helps you young Lady.
~Chef Dunask.
