I am looking for a recipe for fried cornbread made in a cast iron skillet cooked on the stove top that my dad's mother made when he was growing up in VA. He said the bottom crust was thick. He said that they took the leftovers and crumbled them up in milk and it was wonderful. Any help would be greatly appreicated as I have searched and can not find a recipe quite like what I am seaching for.
