Cherry Slices
1/2 lb. light brown sugar 2 sticks margarine 1 3/4 cups flour 1/2 tsp. baking soda 2 cups oats 2 cans cherry pie filling
Mix together sugar, margarine, flour and soda. Then add oats. Put half of mix on bottom of cookie sheet. Press into place. Spread ready to use cherry pie filling on oats mix. Top with remainder of mix. Bake 20 to 25 minutes at 400 degrees.

1 cup margarine 1 3/4 cups sugar 4 eggs (add one at a time and beat) 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder 1 tsp. vanilla 1/2 tsp. salt 3 cups flour 2 cans cherry pie filling
Mix all together; spread in a 10 x 15-inch pan; reserve half of batter. Put 2 cans of cherry pie filling on top of batter in pan, then dot the other half of the batter on top. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. You may frost if desired.
