I really Liked the sound of Chiqui's burgers. I want to add Mom's tips though.
Burger meat will get tough if over handled. Some people add a bit of soda water to lighten them.
My mom used to make hamberger suprises .... She would make two thinner patties and put stuff inside and crimp the 2 patties together.
my kids don't like but adults usually do.
sometimes it would be as simple as the normal fixings you put outside the burger, ketchup, mustard, tomato, cheese.
others times suatee'd mushrooms and swiss cheese. Whatever the imagination or refrigerator had in store .... cooked bacon, craked peppercorn dressing ..... salsa ...?
Tip: put in foil so contents stay together the patties were large and thin creating humungus burgers once she added and crimped -- slow cook on grill away from flame.
She "stuffed" meat loaf too
nothing normal about mom; her cooking or her children!
