How to Make Hardtack
3 cups of flour 1 cup of water a fork greased cookie sheet
Preheat the oven to 450.
Combine the flour and water in a mixing bowl together. Knead the dough until elastic like gum.
Roll the dough out flat about a quarter inch thick. With a fork poke quite a few holes across top of dough. Cut dough into little circles with a small glass or a biscuit cutter. Place on greased cookie sheets.
Bake 7 minutes at 450F. Turn the oven to 350F and bake another 10 minutes. They should be hard as a rock.
