Okay, Jackie, Karen and Sue--
I have my Mother's recipe for peanut butter fudge and we are originally from Southwestern Virginia..She gave me her recipe for the candy but I never had to make it because she would send me a huge tin of it for Christmas. Guarded that stuff with my life. It had a harder texture and denser than the type made with marshmallow fluff. She passed away almost 18 years ago and I have tried to make this candy on numerous occasions. Complete flops! My sister tried several years ago and she trash canned hers, also. Mom left out and ingredient and from reading the last 2 replys- I believe it is the margarine or butter. Will let you know when I make it and see if it is the recipe I'm looking for!
