Best Southern buttermilk Biscuits
2 cups self-rising flour 1/3 cup crisco 2/3 cup buttermilk
Place flour into bowl add crisco and cut into flour with pastry blender or two knifes..when it resimbles course cornmeal, stir in buttermilk to make soft dough. turn out on to floured board knead a few times .pat out and cut out biscuts or just shape into biscuits place close together . place on greased pan and bake 425F for 12 to 15 min. until golden brown.
