Marilyn, I think you mean Spareribs with BBQ Sauce as the recipe for shortribs has no sugar or vinegar. The book I have came with my Grandmother' "presto". I am sure this is what you are looking for but there is no sugar listed. I have made them myself and add a little brown sugar to it. I have copied this exact from the booklet. Spareribs with BBQ Sauce
3 lb. spareribs salt & pepper paprika 1 tbsp. shortening 1 large onion, sliced 1/4 cup catsup 2 tbsp. vinegar 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce 1/8 tsp chili powder 1/4 tsp celery seed 1/2 cup water
Cut ribs into serving pieces. Season with salt, pepper and paprika.
Heat Cooker and add shortening. Brown ribs on both sides. Add onion.
Combine catsup, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, chili powder, celery seed and water. Pour over meat in cooker. Close cover securely.
Place pressure Regulator on vent pipe and cook 15 minutes with Pressure Regulator rocking slowly. Let pressure drop of its own accord.
