Acorn flour is easy to make or obtain via the net. To make just gather and peel the nuts in October. White acorns are best from white oaks.

Cook with 4 rinsings till water comes clear. About 15-20 minutes each cooking.

Grind till flour texture and use.

We use acorns in breads, as walnuts, as a snack carmalized, and in many forms. We also use and have hazelnuts too. Store by drying out flour then do as you would do with other stuff of same nature.

Yes I am a traditional Native American Indian of the Oglala Lakota Sioux. We also cooked with nuts and herbs of the lands. There are several recipes on the net of my people and other tribes.
