SPICY APPLEBUTTER BARBEQUE SAUCE FOR WINGS
2 lbs. raw chicken wings BARBECUE SAUCE: 1 cup Apple Butter Juice of 1 lemon 2 Tablespoons Worcestorshire sauce 1 Tablespoon liquid Hickory Smoke flavor 1 teaspoon really hot hot-sauce OR 1 Tablespoon milder hot-sauce 1 teaspoon garlic powder 1 teaspoon coarse sea salt 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)
Separate wings at each joint and throw away meatless tips. Boil wings in water until done, about 20-30 minutes. Drain wings.
Heat cooking oil in frying pan. Brown wings until each side is crispy and golden brown. Be careful, there may be some splattering if there is too much water left on wings. When all are browned, set aside.
Place Barbeque sauce ingredients in a medium size sauce-pan or cooking pot. Just stir ingredients together until warm, over medium heat.
Throw in the boiled and browned wings and, using a wooden spoon, give them a gentle toss in the barbeque sauce mixture.
Serve immediately or store in the fridge to serve the next day. Excellent!
