Hi Carey, I was able to find this recipe that sounds like the dish you described. I just might have to try it myself! Here is a note from the original source:
"We had these the other morning at school. Our office staff, librarian, music teacher, and principal treated us. This was great. I got the recipe from one of them."
SPECIAL PIGS IN THE BLANKET
1 stick (1/2 cup) butter 3 tbsp honey 3 tbsp brown sugar 1/2 cup chopped nuts 2 to 3 cans refrigerated crescent roll dough 1 pkg. small (cocktail-size) sausages
Mix together butter honey, and brown sugar, and heat until melted.
Pour into a 9x13-inch baking pan. Sprinkle 1/2 cup of chopped nuts in the pan.
Make pigs in a blanket by wrapping each link with a piece of the crescent roll dough. Place in a single layer on top of the nut mixture.
Follow directions on the crescent rolls for oven temperature and bake for 10 minutes.
