Has anyone tried to make Paula's Lemon Blossoms using the recipe posted on theFood Network site? My question is about the cupcake ingredients and instructions.

These are the ingredients posted:

1 (18 1/2-ounce) package yellow cake mix
1 (3 1/2-ounce) package instant lemon pudding mix
4 large eggs
3/4 cup vegetable oil

and the instructions:

Combine the cake mix, pudding mix, eggs and oil and blend well with an electric mixer until smooth, about 2 minutes. Pour a small amount of batter, filling each muffin tin half way.

There's no mention of adding water or milk to the ingredients. When you mix the ingredients as listed, you end up with a bowl of stiff, dry dough-firmer then corndread batter!! I did end up adding a cup of water and the cupcakes turned out okay-but I wondered if they might have been better had I used a different liquid or amount.

I will gladly post the entire recipe if anyone is interested. Thanks in advance for you advice!

~Kim
