CHICAGO STYLE BBQ RIBS (OVEN)
pounds country-style back ribs FOR THE SAUCE: 1 cup bottled or homemade BBQ sauce (homemade is better) 1/2 cup ketchup 1/2 cup brown sugar OR USE THE FOLLOWING MIXTURE: 1/2 cup vinegar 1/4 cup sugar tablespoon Worcestershire sauce teaspoons paprika teaspoons onion powder 1/2 teaspoon MSG
Bake ribs at 450 degrees F for 20 minutes. Pour off fat.
Reduce oven to 300 degrees F and cook 30 minutes more.
Meanwhile, mix sauce and simmer over low heat for 30 minutes.
Drain ribs and cover with sauce.
Cook another hour, basting every 15 minutes
