SPICY APPLE SYRUP

1 cup cold water
1 (6 ounce) can frozen unsweetened apple juice concentrate, thawed
1/4 cup sugar
1 1/2 tablespoons cornstarch
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon vanilla

Combine ingredients in 1-1/2 quart saucepan and stir over medium heat until mixture simmers and clears, about 10 to 12 minutes.

Serve this warm over ice cream, pancakes or crepes.

Refrigerate any remaining syrup in a jar.

Makes 1 1/2 cups
