POPPA D'S HOT WINGS
5 lbs. chicken wings ground red pepper (if desired) 1 (6 oz.) bottle of Louisiana hot sauce 1/2 cup butter 2 tablespoons honey salt to taste celery sticks (to serve)
TO MAKE THE WINGS: Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
Cut chicken wings up place wings on cookie sheet. Do not pile on top of each other. Space real close together.
Sprinkle heavy with red pepper if desired.
Place cookie sheet in oven and bake approx. 45 minutes to 1 hour turning wings every 20 to 30 minutes.
TO MAKE THE SAUCE: Pour hot sauce into mixing bowl; add salt.
Melt butter and honey together in micowave. When melted, stir into hot sauce.
TO SERVE: When wings are done, stir wings into sauce getting them fully coated with sauce. Serve hot with celery and other veggies.
