BAKED SUGAR CRACKERS
2 inner wrapped packages of Keebler Club crackers 1 cup butter 2/3 cup granulated white sugar about 1/2 cup sliced almonds
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Coat an edged cookie sheet with nonstick cooking spray or line with foil.
Cover prepared pan with a single layer of crackers.
Put butter and sugar in pan and bring to a rolling boil; boil for 2 minutes or until mixture starts to thicken, stirring constantly (do not overcook).
Quickly pour butter mixture over all crackers; spread with spatula. Sprinkle almonds on top (or almonds may be sprinkled on the crackers before topping with the sugar mixture).
Bake at 350 degrees F for 10-15 minutes or until brown (watch closely). Remove from cookie sheet and put on another cookie sheet or foil to cool.
When cool, break in pieces. Store in airtight container in refrigerator.
