Dear June,

Well, we're having the strangest weather here right now. It seemed like our warm weather had arrived, and our pool got up to 68 degrees a few weeks ago. The last couple of nights the temperature dipped into the high 30s and we have had some sprinkles. We've had the driest year I have ever seen here in the Central Valley and usually we're done with rain at this time. The weathercasters on the local news all seem surprised. So the short answer is . . . no, our warm weather hasn't hit yet.

I saw on the Today show that it was in the 80s in Miami. Sigh. I do like temperatures in the 80s. I wish that our weather didn't get up into the hundreds (yes!). Last June we hit 113 and it was dreadful. I didn't want to go outside of the house!
