I have been searching for a good all american fudge brownie recipe but haven't had any luck from the numerous books that I have purchased. I have been told that Maida Heatter makes great bakes.

Was wondering if someone could share the famous Maida Heatter's fudge brownie recipe? We do not have access to her book in New Zealand.

PS: Is it true that adding breadcrumbs to the bottom of the pan make the brownies have a crunchy base?
