DIRT CAKE/OREO COOKIE DESSERT

1 pkg. crushed Oreos (reserve 1 cup for topping)
1/3 cup butter
2 pkg. (3 ounces each) instant pistachio pudding mix (or any flavor)
1 1/2 cups milk
1 quart vanilla ice cream, softened
1 (8 oz.) container Cool Whip

Melt butter and mix with cookie crumbs. Press into 9 x 13 inch pan.

Mix pudding and milk. Add softened ice cream. Spread on crust.

Spread Cool Whip on top. Sprinkle with remaining crumbs. Refrigerate overnight.
