Hi!
I found my original recipe that came with my cookie cutters when Tupperware first offered them. hope this helps:
TUPPERWARE SUGAR COOKIE RECIPE
(GRANNY'S SUGAR COOKIES)
Cream together:*
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 cup sugar
Blend in:
1 egg
Sift together and add to mixture:
2 to 2 1/4 cups all purpose flour**
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. vanilla
Divide dough in two parts. Chill 1 to 2 hours so it will be easy to handle.
Roll dough, one part at a time to 1/8 thickness and cut with Tupperware Cookie Cutters. Keep other part of dough chilled until ready to roll.
Transfer to cookie sheet and bake in a pre-heated moderate oven (375 degrees F) 8 to 10 minutes.***
Frost, if desired with Confectioner's Sugar Water Glaze.
CONFECTIONER'S SUGAR WATER GLAZE:
Blend together 1 cup sifted powdered sugar and 5 to 6 teaspoons water. Add food coloring, if desired. Brush glaze over cookies while still warm.
My notes to this recipe:
*Add the vanilla to the butter/sugar mixture and lightly blend immediately before adding the flour/powder/salt ingredients.
**Only use the 2 cups of flour, let the flour you put on your counter to roll out the dough make up the other possible 1/4 cup of flour.
***Oven temps vary greatly, my oven i actually bake them for 7 minutes, gives just a slight golden brown to the edges, and the cookies stay soft yet hold the glaze well.
Makes approximately 2 dozen cutout cookies
