7-UP STRAWBERRY PIE
1 cup sugar 3 tbsp. cornstarch 1 (10 oz.) bottle 7-Up 1 1/2 tsp. red food color 1 pint fresh strawberries 1 baked pie crust 1 carton whipped topping, thawed or Reddi Whip (for topping)
Mix sugar and cornstarch in large saucepan. Add 7-Up and cook over medium heat for about 20 minutes or until thickens and assumes a syrup like appearance, next add food color.
Place strawberries in baked pie crust. Pour syrup over strawberries and refrigerate. After syrup has completely jelled, top pie with whipped topping.
