MR. GOOD BARS

1 1/2 sticks (3/4 cup) margarine
2 Tbsp. unsweetened cocoa powder
1 3/4 cups sugar
4 eggs, beaten
pinch of salt
1 1/2 cup flour
1 cup chopped nuts
1 tsp. vanilla
miniature marshmallows (enough to cover top)
Frosting (recipe follows)

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Grease a 13x9-inch baking pan.

Melt margarine and cocoa powder together; cool.

Add sugar, eggs and salt. Mix in flour, nuts and vanilla. Spread in prepared pan.

Bake at 375 degrees F for 30 minutes. Remove from oven. Cover with a single layer of miniature marshmallows. Return to oven just until puffy. Remove and set pan on a rack to cool.

Drizzle frosting over cooled marshmallows. Refrigerate for 15 minutes before cutting into bars.

FROSTING

1/3 cup margarine
2 Tbsp. unsweetened cocoa powder
2 1/2 to 3 cups powdered sugar
3 Tbsp. milk
1 tsp. vanilla

Melt margarine and cocoa powder together. Stir in remaining ingredients.

MR. GOODBAR COOKIES

2 cups vanilla wafer crumbs
1 cup coconut
1 stick (1/2 cup) margarine, melted
1 (14 oz.) can Eagle Brand sweetened condensed milk
1 giant size Hershey chocolate bar
Nuts

Combine vanilla wafer crumbs, coconut and margarine. Press into 13x9-inch pan.

In a saucepan melt the Hershey bar in the sweetened condensed mik. Pour over base; sprinkle nuts over top.

Bake at 350 degrees F for 30 minutes. Cool and cut into bars.
