Hello Donna, Ellen's recipe is a very good one and I wouldn't doubt it at all. I also have one that has never failed for me and doesn't weep! 4 Egg Whites; (at room temp.), 1 tsp. vanilla, 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar, 1/2 cup sugar, Beat egg whites, vanilla and cream of tartar on med. speed for about 1 min. Gradually add sugar and beat till stiff peaks. Spread on pie and brown @ 300 degrees. Allow to cool before placing in refrigerator.
