This recipe is one of my husband's favorite dishes.
Chicken & Rice Casserole
1 c. rice (not instant)
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 chicken, cut in pieces
2 c. hot water
1 tsp. oregano
salt
pepper
dash of nutmeg
Bacon slices
Brown bacon slices and place in 9X13 pan. Spread rice on bottom. Spread with soup. Arrange chicken on top. Pour hot water over. Add spices.Bake covered at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Uncover and bake additional 15 minutes or until rice is tender and chicken is done. I mix the hot water with the soup and just pour it over the rice and then arrange my chicken pieces on top.
