Are you tired of plain old peanut butter well try this. mmm very good hot iwth butter or jelly
Peanut Butter Bread


1 3/4 cup of flour
1 teas soda
1/2 teas salt
1 cup brown sugar packed
1/3 cup peanut butter smooth or crunchy
1 egg well beaten
1 cup buttermilk
Sift flour with soda and salt.
Blend sugar into peanut butter,stir in well beaten egg and beat untio smooth.
Add flour mixture and buttermilk alternately,beating well after each addition. Beat until mmooth.
Turn into greased loaf pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour or until well browned. Makes 1 loaf.


This bread wa a child hood favorite of mine. I grew up on peanut butter and farm work. I wonder if those two go together. Who knows!! All i know is my mom made it for rme and i now make it for my kids. ahh They are now teenagers. This recipe dates back more than 50 years..Yes they had peanut butter back then .
Make this for your kids and watch the look on their face.. It will soon be your favorite bread. bye for now every one..
