WINTER CASSEROLE
Core and coarsely chop 1 head cabbage. Slice four carrots into one-inch pieces. Slice two polska keilbaska sausages into large chunks. Chop 3 green onions. Combine all and place in a large, greased casserole. Pour in 3 cups milk. Cover and bake at 350 degrees for at least one hour, until veggies are soft and cooked through.
Transfer to an electric skillet. Sprinkle with 1/2 teaspoon Lawry's Seasoned Salt. Keep warm (250 degrees F.) while you mix:
Dumpling Topping:
Mix with fork: 2 cups Bisquick baking mix, 1 Tablespoon baking powder and 2/3 cups milk. Increase heat to 325 degrees F.) Drop by tablespoonsful onto hot casserole mix. Cover skillet and cook ten minutes. Remove lid, turn dumplings over, and cook another ten minutes, uncovered. Watch carefully to make sure it doesn't boil dry and burn.
Bon Appetit!
