4ozs caster sugar, 8ozs butter, 12 ozs All purpose flour.put buttewr ina bowl and work witha wooden spoon until quite soft, add the sugar and mix well but don't beat, add the flourmwith hands and knead together until allmixed ,form into a ball and leave to rest for i hour, divide into 2 pieces, roll out 1 into a round pinch edges and mark with a fork, then mark top wso that there will be 8 portions roll out the other half and cut into fingers about 2inches bake in apreheated oven at325 for about 20-30 minutes. remove from oven when cold sprnkle with fine sugar, mmmm delicous.
