i gave up... after searching on internet for so long, i still can't find one that is really working for me. i have tried many of the suggestions and recipes posted but none of them was what i am looking for... i need a moist (a must) orange cake recipe from scratch, no commercial cake mix, pls. this orange cake is made without: nuts (any kind), coconut (any form), other fruits than orange, raisins, olive oil, sour cream, cream cheese, wheat flour. it may contain: real salted/unsalted butter (but not too much), brown/white sugar, cake/plain flour, real orange juice and zest, some lemon zest is ok but not much, vanilla, liqueur, milk. it can be eaten alone without frosting, but a frosting recipe using fresh cream attached is ok. it should be able to be made in an 8-inch round cake tin or a 9x 13 loaf pan. i'd really appreciated it if the recipe provided is tested. and it can be kept for a few days in the fridge/cool place. the result is a simple, plain, but moist orange cake. is it possible? my hubby really likes an orange cake like this. he tried it once when he visited hawaii before we met. maybe this could be a hint? thanks for your recipes in advance. i would like to make this for his birthday party coming as a surprise if possible... |
