I tried the following recipe in my Panasonic bread maker (capacity 1 & 1/2 lb. loaves). It rose so high that the bread got all over the top of the breadmaker and made quite a mess. But the bread was delicious! Anyone have a suggestion as to what to do? Use less yeast? Alter the proportions of other ingredients? Please help, because otherwise, this recipe was a keeper. Thanks!

Flavorful, light sweet bread that is great by itself, or for french toast and summer sandwiches.

Ingredients:
1 cup warm water
5 tablespoons white sugar
3 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons powdered milk
2 tablespoons instant potato flakes
3 teaspoons yeast
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon lemon extract
2 eggs
4 tablespoons butter or margarine

Directions:
1. Measure ingredients into the bread machine in the order suggested by the manufacturer.
2. Set the machine for medium crust, and press start.
