Hi Ellen,

This looks like the recipe you're looking for except for the step of freezing the dough in a loaf pan. If you have the time let us know if you try it!

Butterscotch Thins

6 oz. (1 cup) butterscotch chips
1/2 cup butter
2/3 cup light brown sugar
1 egg
1 1/3 cups flour
3/4 tsp. baking soda
1/3 cup chopped nuts
3/4 tsp. vanilla

Melt over hot (not boiling) water, butterscotch chips, and butter.
Remove from heat; beat in sugar and egg.
Sift four and baking soda together and stir into mixture.
Add nuts and vanilla.
Put mixture into a loaf pan that has been lined with wax paper.
Freeze. Slice very thinly.
Place on an ungreased baking sheets.
Bake at 375 degrees for 5-6 minutes.

Happy Baking,

Betsy
