These are one of my favorites as well. I have no idea where the name came from. And as far as the saddlebags go, that's the truth. I often ride with a friend and we'll be out all day. We stop at a Subway sandwich shop and get subs and chips - add them to a few cans of soda and some cookies and we're off. Only problem is it's getting harder to recall what a sub sandwhich looks like that isn't smashed from being jostled around in saddlebags!
