Thank you so much for the recipes for cream candy. I will try them. Could you check in your old candy cookbook to see if they have a cream candy that need to be made in the winter. My grandmother only made these in winter. She said you needed a copper pot and that the temperature out side had to be just so, that way the candy cooled at the right speed. These candys were hard when they were first made, but storing them in a closed tin can mellowed them. They became a lot like the party mints you can buy now, but the flavor was much different.
