I first tasted Chicken Pastry at an Indian rest. in Red Springs, NC. That and surrounding areas are home to the Lumberton Indians. I have found it to be a recipe that is only familiar to that part of eastern North Carolina. I would appreciate having the recipe if anyone has it. The dish is sort of like chicken and dumplings, but the "pastry" doesn't have the consistency of a dumpling.
